Matthew brings a wealth of experience to Connor, Morneau & Olin, LLP Attorneys at Law, from his fifteen-year career as a named partner at Donohue, Hyland & Donohue, P.C., in Holyoke, MA. Shortly after his former partner, Barbara Hyland, was elevated to the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court bench in 2011, Matthew joined Connor, Morneau & Olin, LLP, as an of-counsel attorney, working in the areas of probate and family law along with general legal counseling. His areas of practice include probate and family law, consumer protection, business counseling, wage and hour, employment law, and labor law.
Matthew is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts before the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. He is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar Association, Hampden County Bar Association, and the Holyoke Bar Association. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts with a major in Legal Studies and his Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law, New Orleans.
Matthew resides in Holyoke with his wife, Jennifer, and their children. Matthew is deeply committed to the city and is actively involved in the Holyoke Boys and Girls Club. Passionate about law, Matthew volunteers his time to indigent local clients, formally with the Lawyer For A Day Program and informally with pro bono work. He is one of the founders of the WillPower Foundation. Being an avid father and husband, Matthew is active in his children’s activities and sports. He enjoys many recreational activities such as boating, scuba, golf, skiing, biking, and hiking.
